Are you new to Christianity? At the Dassett Magna churches, we are eager to meet you and your family and introduce you to the Christian faith, full of rich history and sacred traditions.

Faith is a journey of discovery. If you have any questions and would like to talk with someone about your journey of faith you are welcome to ring Rev'd Nicki.
What's it all about ?
If you are new to faith, you have been away and are coming back, or you are just wanting to explore your faith the bible is a good place to start. It is full of interesting stories about love and hate, good and evil, sickness and healing, war and peace. It is made up of 66 books but don't feel you need to read it all in one go - you can read it in bits. This video will give you a good summery of the bible and explain who Jesus is.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The Apostles' Creed
What do christians believe?
That is a very important question answered in prayer in the words of the Apostles’ Creed.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
The Eucharist or Holy Communion
The Eucharist or Holy Communion is at the heart of Christian worship. The Eucharist also known as Holy Communion or the Lord's Supper is celebrated by Christians around the world as a memorial of the death and resurrection of Jesus, in response to his words at the final meal he shared with his disciples, 'Do this in remembrance of me.' It is a meal of bread and wine which represent the body and blood of Jesus sacrificed for the redemption of our sins.
