The Dassett Magna Group of Parishes
The Dassett Magna Group comprises of for parishes in the Fosse Deanery of the Diocese of Coventry. the group was formed in April 2007, when the parishes of Farnborough and Avon Dassett with Fenny Compton joined together with the neighbouring parishes of Burton Dassett (which includes Knightcote, Little Dassett, Northend and Temple Herdewyke) and Gaydon with Chadshunt.
Our population is mixed: it includes farmers and home-based workers, commuters and the locally employed, military and civilians, the unemployed and young families, the recently retired and elderly. Local industries include farming, Jaguar Land Rover’s Gaydon headquarters, Aston Martin HQ, road haulage and automotive transport companies. There is a National Trust property in Farnborough and the British Motor Museum in Gaydon. Despite our rural location the towns of Banbury, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon are all within a half hour drive.
